The Sankarani is a river in West Africa and one of the major tributaries of the Niger River. Its sources are located in the southeastern highlands of Guinea, and it flows northward until it joins the Niger in Mali.

The river forms part of the right-bank drainage system of the Niger. It marks a portion of the border between Guinea and Mali, then enters southern Mali.
